Hot Pilates

In an effort to shed a few pounds before Thanksgiving, I pushed myself attend an hour long Hot Pilates class. Before the class I made sure I was well hydrated and had a hearty meal, which consisted of eggs sunny side up. I used to love taking the classic Bikram classes all the time during high school. I would feel so refreshed and rejuvenated after every class, so I was looking forward to coming home during Thanksgiving break and taking another class at Bikram.

This was my first time taking a pilates class, so I was a little nervous being a newbie and because I have not exercised in a long time. Luckily, I did not pass out, the class was high intensity, but manageable. The class was a full body workout, and I left class exhausted (**I ended up taking a two hour nap afterwards). The workout kicked my butt and has inspired me to look for yoga classes at school or at local yoga studios. I love a hard workout and this Hot Pilates class was exactly what I needed to reconnect with the athlete inside of me again and to get in a challenging workout before Thanksgiving.
