Tribute to My Mom

Before moving to college I did not have the best relationship with either of my parents, but especially my mom. I was a rebellious child during my senior year, and I always thought I knew better than my mom. Honestly, my mom really saved me when I hit rock bottom earlier this year. Through tough love she pushed me to realize that I needed to grow up and focus on my future. My mom is the strongest person I know, and she will always be my role model. Being away from home, I have come to realize how similar I am to her. Every now and then I hear her voice in the back of my head reminding me to wear shorts under my dress, to not forget a snack for class, and when to go to bed on a school night. She is the most amazing person I know and she is still teaching me how to be a better person everyday. She has such a huge heart and she is so caring to every person she meets; I hope to one day have that affect on people. Thank you mommy for pushing me to realize my values and be the person I am today. I hope to one day make you proud and to take care of you the way you have always taken care of me.
